IML at Govtech for the second year running

Friday, 06 November 2009

Govtech is the biggest annual ICT conference in Africa, and this year was no different with more than 2000 delegates attending the 3 day conference held in the Durban ICC. International speakers included Executive Director of the Open Source Software Institute, John Weathersby and Jonathan Murray; vice president of the Public Sector Office for Microsoft.

IML provided the interactive audience response system for all plenary speaker sessions, and also enabled delegates to text in their questions for speakers to answer at the end of each of their sessions. The results from the voting, as well as the questions sent in from the floor were immediately displayed and offered great interactive feedback directly from the audience. IML beyond doubt gave all delegates a voice throughout these sessions!

Our proudly South African IT representatives included Godfrey Ntoele, Group Executive for Telkom SA and Ken Jarvis; CEO of Jika Africa. Finishing up the conference with a light-hearted quiz testing the audience’s attentiveness to his presentation was Gary Bailey: famed former Kaizer Chiefs and Manchester United goalkeeper, and current World Cup ambassador.

IML provided SITA Govtech’s delegates a truly interactive experience and provided the client with tangible, measurable results post-event for a second year running.
